Brac

The name of Brač is mentioned  for the first time in the 10th century.  Brač is particularly interesting for its numerous archeological finds: Illyrian tombs, old Croatian churches, old Christian basilicas, and a great number of monasteries. One important activity is stone carving. The stone of Brač is famous all over the world and has been used on many renowned buildings, the White House in Washington for example. The island coastline is dotted with idyllic and picturesque villages and small towns. Its interior offers us many fascinating experiences as well.
